2000-2006

In addition to the regular concerts held in St Machar's Cathedral in April and December each year, the Choir took part in Aberdeen Sinfonietta concerts in the Music Hall, Aberdeen in 2002, 2003 and 2005. In 2000, they performed in Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh and Brechin Cathedral was the venue for a performance as part of the Brechin Arts Festival in 2004. James Lobban conducted the Choir on each occasion until the end of 2005, after which illness forced him to withdraw from conducting the April 2006 concert, which was conducted by Graham Wiseman. Gordon Jack conducted the December 2006 concert. In all the concerts except the a capella concerts and the May 2000 concert, Aberdeen Sinfonietta provided the orchestral players.
