Scottish Pronunciation - December 2009

Click on the icon or the text link to hear the pronunciation of the Scottish words in the two Burns settings by John Gardner and Ken Johnston, read by Gordon Jack. A window will open with audio controls: Start, Stop and Rewind. There may also be a volume control. You will hear each phrase, then a gap to allow you to repeat the phrase for practice.

Repeat the process as many times as you like for each piece using the rewind and play controls. To hear another piece, return to this page and click on the icon or link for the part you want to hear. It will automatically start in the same audio window as the previous part (unless you first closed it). Close the audio window when you have finished listening.
