In this, our 70th anniversary year, Aberdeen Bach Choir is delighted to bring you the first of two very special concerts in St Machar's Cathedral. On Saturday 25th April we will perform an indulgent selection of favourite and well known choral works in celebration of our 70 years.

We are accompanied on this auspicious occasion by Joseph Beech, Sub-Organist at Durham Cathedral. Joseph is the principal accompanist to Durham Cathedral Choir, playing the organ for daily services in addition to the choir's schedule of broadcasts, concerts, recordings and tours. He also assists the Master of the Choristers in his work conducting the choir, and recruiting and training the choristers. Joseph will play two solo organ pieces during the performance.

Accompanying the Choir in Beatus Vir by Monteverdi are two violinists from Aberdeen Sinfonietta: Guerra Crockett and Bryan Dargie. A number of Choir members take solo parts in that work and Ode to St Cecilia; Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice and Greater Love Hath No Man.
