Rev. Barry Dunsmore, Minister at St Machar's Cathedral, opened the proceedings and said the Grace, which he had composed himself:

If music be the food of love, play on, give me excess of it,
and for a moment set aside this local stuff and Brexit
and celebrate the songs we share,
the joy that music brings us
where creed and colour matter not, a gift that is tremendous.

So thank you Lord for sixty years and the memories they’re bringing
for health and freedom joy and skill that bring about our singing
and bless our night, friends old and new and all that we shall share
but most of all our grateful thanks for all of this fine fare.

One of our Patrons, John Butt, gave an entertaining talk on the subject of historical and modern performances of the works of J.S. Bach.

The vote of thanks was given by Jim Hunter.
